THE WELLBEING OF PEOPLE

A people-centred approach

The wellbeing of people, in the broadest sense of the expression, is the objective that Missaglia aims for in each of its projects.

We produce custom-made hospital furnishings by following a design concept that reaches beyond the basic requirements of quality, duration, ergonomics and cost effectiveness. In fact, these four aspects are the basis for every sales quote. Our approach is based on in-depth knowledge of the typical relational dynamics of hospital facilities, namely a complex set of interactions that are carried out in a multivalent space. Hence, the often concurrent presence of several different types of people – patients, visitors and healthcare professionals – requires highly specialised design and project-related know-how to achieve an extensive range of functional and environmental objectives, or rather, exquisitely psychological aspects. Long-standing experience has convinced us that excellence is only accomplished when the interior decor project harmoniously merges into the architectural space with genuine balance. This is the only way a facility offer hospitality centred on safety and wellbeing, while placing healthcare professionals in a condition that allows them to work more effectively and efficiently in a pleasant and serene environment.

WELLBEING: THE PRINCIPLE THAT GUIDES OUR WORK

We define wellbeing with three main concepts:

PATIENT SAFETY

A result obtained by creating well-designed products able to safeguard and protect the patient or elderly person in difficulty. These products are made in compliance with the most demanding quality standards. Every component, and every mechanical and electrical element, is carefully tested and verified.

PATIENT COMFORT

A fundamental requirement of every care plan: first as design criteria, which then becomes a production guideline, this concept guides the creation of products with a high ergonomics and functional excellence.

WORKING CONDITIONS OF HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS

The last aspect of our idea of wellbeing regards the working conditions of personnel in charge of assistance and care   The criteria of ergonomics, functionality and safety are the first concern for medical and paramedical personnel. The quality of their care also depends on the design value and actual production of the tools that they have available.
